Breonna Taylor, a 26-year-old Black woman, was in her home in Louisville, KY on March 13th when officers from the Louisville Metro Police Department barged in without a warning nor announcement and broke through her door, fired off more than 20 bullets, and ultimately took Breonna’s life. Her killers have not been arrested and this mural is shining light on the justice she deserves. Say her name, sign petitions and make calls, demand justice for her.

The mural represents the powerful healing energy of the Caribbean. The background consists of symbols rooted in African and Taino culture that represent protection, harmony, and love.

This displacement is happening due to greedy landlords and never ending condos with promises of affordable housing. The imagery asks the viewer to think about "how affordable is affordable housing? Who are these condos really being built for? Why is the rent rising? And why must the communities who have created the culture in these 'up and coming' neighborhoods be pushed out?
