The art created for The Doors of Make Room are focusing on the displacement of the people in black and brown communities. This displacement is happening due to greedy landlords and never ending condos with promises of affordable housing. The imagery asks the viewer to think about "how affordable is affordable housing? Who are these condos really being built for? Why is the rent rising? And why must the communities who have created the culture in these 'up and coming' neighborhoods be pushed out?
